Have you ever discovered a job you didn’t know existed through reading fiction?

The idea for this post first came to me as I find when I’m reading, it can be easy to get stuck in a rut of sorts reading about main characters in typical roles.

In real life, I enjoy learning about interesting jobs and discovering new roles. So I decided to challenge myself to find Christian fiction books with female main characters who work in more unusual roles. In this way, I would discover new authors & new jobs and even learn a little behind the scenes of some roles through the stories.

As with my A-Z Name-alike post, I’ve divided the jobs into 4 sections listing jobs in alphabetical order. I searched for more unusual jobs but I still included some relatively common roles as well.

Browse the relevant section below and happy book-hunting 🙂

I welcome your input so please do share any books that you’ve read with unusual jobs that are not on the list 🙂
